We're glad you've taken the time to visit the fifth gallery of radio controlled flying photos from the Platteville Area Modelers R/C Club. We love building and flying the planes shown here and hope that you enjoy viewing them.
May 2007
First, we have some pics of two more of Roger's planes. And little gems they are, too! Dick, Kodak and Bart enjoyed the evening with some good flying by both Dick with his Four Star and Kodak with the Ugly Stick. Here are a few of the shots from the night.
May2007
An assortment of pictures this time. Mark's Sig EP42 Kadet, showing his hard surface landings, plus some in air shots. We also have Kodak's Ugly Stick in air, and a picture of our newest junior club member... club president Dick's grandson, Andrew. What a well behaved, nice little guy he is, and we all enjoyed having him watch the flying.
May2007
Some ground pics of Kodak's recently completed club build NJ1. Neat plane... good job on this one. When pictures of the other planes are available, we will list them here.
May 2007 Again...
We were lucky and were treated to some of Roger's excellent flying today. Not many words are needed to describe Roger.... he is a seasoned and extremely knowledgable flyer... and, as you'll see in the last two shots, when you're good, you're good. We are very lucky to have him in the Platteville Area Modelers club, as he is not only an excellent flyer, but he is a wealth of flying information as well. This particular day, he was flying his U.S. Aircore.
June 2007
We have photos this time of Mark F.'s 4 star forty, Doc's Mayhem and Kodak's extra 300-s and Spectra Electric glider.
Mid-June 2007
Doc, Kodak and Mark F. gathered at the field to get in some air time. Doc flew his Mayhem, Kodak had his PBF (pizza box flyer) and Mark had his rebuilt Nexstar that he made into a tail dragger and his club build NJ1. He did an excellent job rebuilding the Nexstar and also on his club build NJ1. A few of the pictures are of Kodak working on his PBF and also launching it. What a fun plane it is! Mark F. helped out on the photography of these pics. The last pic of Doc and Kodak is his, and he caught the shots of Kodak and the PBF... Thanks, Mark!
July 1, 2007
We got the month started off with a cook out at the field. Great fun for all! Lots of flying, lots of food, and lots of good times to remember. One family was represented with two flyers... and we're here to tell you that as a team, they are a force to reckon with, for sure. Both are excellent pilots... lots of oooohs and ahhhs when they fly. In the air were Doc's Something Extra, Mark's Four Star 40, Sig Kadet, his NJ1 club build and Andy's Tiger Trainer. We had not only a good attendance by club members, but also many of their family members. Now, on to the pictures of the day.
July 4th 2007
Independence Day found Doc, Kodak and Mark F. at the field. They each maidened a new plane today, so it was quite the day. Doc had his club build NJ1 "Pinky" in the air for the first time, Kodak had his newly built SPAD "T. Bugly" out for a spin, and Mark F. had his newest plane "Mini Mayhem Wannabe" up and getting its wings used to flying. Kodak is shown doing some "field work" on his T.Bugly, and Doc's needed a little tweaking too. Mark decided to pull up a chair and relax while he studied his "MMW". A nice way to spend part of a holiday. But then, is there ever a bad day of r/c flying? Happy 4th to one and all from the Platteville Area Modelers.
*A few more July 4th photos (Thanks to Mark F.)
One beautiful July morning- 2007
Kodak happened upon a day off, a calm morning, a new plane and some great fun. Put these all together and you can't beat it for an excellent way to start a day. Flying his new plane, T.Bugly, he tried out some flour bombs to see how T.Bugly reacted to carrying cargo and releasing it. Seems T.Bugly liked it... seems T.Bugly managed to drop one right square in the middle of the runway! So, we had to have some pictures... hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed the flying and the day.
More July...
The first two are thanks to Mark F. Last pics are from Kodak... Doc getting in some mowing time, (what a good time he was having!) and the others of Doc and Andy with Andy's training plane in flight.
July a little later...
Busy couple of days at the field. Eight fliers equals planes in the sky almost continuously... and that adds up to lots of fun for everyone. Andy flew his Tiger Trainer, and he is doing superb with his landings! Way to go, Andy! Dick, Doc, Marshall, Mark, Roger and Kodak all took time to use the perfect flying day/weather to their advantage. We have pics of Andy with the Tiger, Mark and his Mini Mayhem Wannabe, Roger with his Skyseeker, Kodak with his new DPS SPAD, (which flew like a dream we might add), Doc and Marshall put the wind beneath the wings of Pinky, the club build NJ1, And Dick with his 4 star 60. These were the kind of perfect flying days that we all daydream about during the Winter when just about the only thing we can do is think about flying, shovel the driveway or.... build another plane. :) Enjoy the pictures.... we enjoyed making them possible.
A perfect August day...
Marshall, Kodak, Mark F., Dick and Nick Weber found the perfect way to spend an August day. Flying... what else? Some of the planes flying this day were Mark F.'s club build NJ1, Marshall's NJ1 Pinkie, Nick's Dio SPAD, and Kodak's T.Bugly SPAD. T.Bugly was a workhorse part of the day. Carrying the styrofoam flour filled 'bombs' for a fun time. When the supply of flour bombs ran out, plastic pop bottles came into play. After a few tweaks, T.Bugly proudly carried those to the air for target practice. A new invention for the day was parachutes made from plastic bags and masking tape with a pop bottle for weight. T.Bugly didn't care, as long as it fit into the bomb drop, it was airborne! Marshall, Nick and Mark F. got in some racing time.... and Nick, as always, amazes everyone with his flying skills. He makes planes do things that even the planes didn't know they could do. Yup, that's how good he is. We at Plattevillle Area Modelers surely had fun making the pictures possible. Enjoy.. and just think about how much fun YOU could have if you were a member of Platteville Area Modelers. Contact Dick or Kodak for more information. See our main page for contact information.
